Learn about fair housing practices and laws at a free three-hour workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 18, at Phoenix City Hall, assembly room A, 200 W. Washington St.

The workshop, sponsored by the city of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department, will explain housing discrimination investigations from the experts who conduct them. Fair housing practices apply to apartments, houses, condominiums and mobile home parks.

It is illegal for housing providers to discriminate against tenants, rental applicants or customers on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or familial status.

Sorry for the last minute notice but just found out myself.

AIGA is holding it's Annual Art Auction this evening at the Bragg's Pie Factory Building-1301 W Grand Ave from 6 to 10 PM.  Check out this very cool renovated, former Pie Factory and buy some art while you're at it.

There will be over 100 original works of art (paintings, mixed media, photography, digital art, sculpture, jewelry, and more) displayed on sale in live and silent auction formats.

$25 for AIGA Members, $35 for non-members.
