It's a race, no it's a party, or could it be both? Sunday, January 13th is the date.

Although, lots of people will be running and lots of people watching the people running, music makes up the heart and "sole" of this event. It's more than a race, it's a 40-mile street party. Over 60 live bands will be performing a variety of music from reggae and jazz to country and rock.

The bands set the tempo for this 26.2 and 13.1 mile party, where runners and spectators alike will be "Dancin' in the Streets" to these mini-concerts.

Then after the race, check out the big concert with Kool and the Gang at Tempe Beach Park.  The opening act starts at 6 PM.
