Martinis & Masterpieces, a casual, afterwork fund raising cocktail party, original-art exhibit and silent auction featuring artwork by local artists and hors d’oeuvres from the Valley’s best restaurants is scheduled Friday, April 27 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the historic Madison Event Center, 441 W. Madison St. in downtown Phoenix.

Valley artists will donate their work for the silent auction and all proceeds from the event will benefit the Arts & Business Council of Greater Phoenix, which connects the business and arts communities through leadership and board governance training, Business Volunteers for the Arts and networking opportunities.

Tickets are available through presales only at www.martinisandmasterpieces.org.  No tickets will be sold at the door.  Through the “Bring a Friend” promotion, anyone registering through April 13 can buy two tickets for $75.  After April 13, all tickets are $50 each until 5 p.m., April 26, when presales end.

Major current sponsors include Phoenix Motor Company, Fuze and Plaza Executive Suites.  In-kind sponsors include New Times, Davidson & Belluso, SW Scenic Group, Crescent Crown Distributing, Stoli and Hendricks, Downtown Phoenix Journal, Monkey Brain Promotions, Sidebar, Hanny’s, Tilted Kilt and Bar One.

The 9,200 square foot Madison Event Center, built in the 1920s, has been completely renovated, although the building maintains the feel of vintage Phoenix.
