Actors Theatre is proud to be one of the few theatre companies in the country to present all three of Richard Dresser’s humorous and thought-provoking plays investigating “Happiness in America.”  After the blue-collar struggles of Augusta and the middle-class suburban angst of The Pursuit of Happiness, A View of the Harbor follows Nick – a scion of privilege – back home to face his over-bearing father and his own personal demons.

“The completion of the trilogy, while still extremely funny, I think is by far the darkest of the three,” commented director, Ron May.

“When it comes to the pursuit of happiness,” playwright Dresser adds, “I think some people get caught up in the pursuit.  Americans spend so much time working, but what is the ride we are on?  Where is it leading?”

The cast includes: Christian Miller (The Busy World is Hushed) as Nick, Ben Tyler (Sight Unseen, A Christmas Carol) as Daniel, Cathy Dresbach (The Busy World is Hushed) as Kathryn, and Melody Butiu (The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow) as Page.

Show runs from October 24th thru November 9th
