Historic 1928 Anchor Building - Stop # 1
September 22, 2008 by Lyle Plocher commentThe historic 1928 Anchor Manufacturing Building located at 525 S. Central Avenue will be “ground zero” for the upcoming tour of the valley’s best kept secret…The Warehouse District.
Steve & Andi Rosenstein are no strangers to developing historic properties in up and coming urban neighborhoods. In 1995 they saved a 1910 historic Chicago landmark from the wrecking ball by renovating a 40,000 square foot juke box factory into the headquarters of their clothing company, Fitigues.
Visitors to the Rosenstein’s cool Warehouse District digs will get a sneak preview of the entrepreneurial couple’s new labor of love…The Duce.
The Anchor Building will be Stop # 1 on the "First Ever" Explore SoDo Tour, happening this coming Saturday, September 27th from 1 to 5 PM. Come by the Anchor Building, which is located at 525 S. Central Ave, on the Northeast Corner of Central & Lincoln, anytime after 1 PM, grab your "Tour Program" and then go explore. There are 15 stops on the Tour and the Tour is "Free".
