The general manager, Paul Barzda, has given me some updates on the opening of the Hob Nobs Coffee House, which is located on the corner of 3rd Ave & McDowell Rd at 149 W Mcdowell Rd.
So far, the opening date for the coffee house has been moved to October 1st, but some finishing touches and equipment problems may cut it close. I will be staying in-touch to ensure future customers know exactly when to go!
The coffee house will feature art from local artists. Barzda said that there are now only a few walls left for the first sixty day showcase, which means there will be tons of local art awaiting your visit! I will probably do a few features on the artists as well...so keep posted!
The hiring should be done by Wednesday night this week, so look forward to seeing the best of the best baristas! At least that is what Barzda boasts, as he is looking for unique personalities and great serving skills.
The menu is still being finalized, but I have been promised a copy--so I will post that asap!
Let me know if you have any questions, or contact Paul Barzda at paulbarzda@msn.com. Also, Bob Hodge, the owner, can be contacted at (623) 204-0724.

these people have brought an abomination into my neighborhood, and have not been careful about badmouthing not only the customer base of the old willow house, but also the neighborhood in which their business lies.they are outsiders and they are defecating on our neighborhood.i urge you not to give any press to these people out of respect for the willo and roosevelt neighborhoods.
I don't think he truly meant to offend anyone, and I now realize I shouldn't have included that in my story.

It's too bad the only comment you got was so negative and downright mean and offensive. I would imagine the author has not even been to the new coffee house, since it just opened. I have lived in Willo for 20 years now, and have seen the business change hands several times. I've been to each business and I'll go to this one too. The physical improvements look very nice and the owners actually came to the Willo neighborhood meeting last night to meet their neighbors. I will give them a chance and, if I don't like the business, I'll choose not to go, instead of vilifying them.
And your readers should know, by the way, that Hob Nobs is not even in the Willo neighborhood, which is North of McDowell. The cafe is just South of the Willo neighborhood. That being said, I'm sure that many Willo residents will visit the new coffee house. Thanks for your article.
