They got swept by the Dodgers last series then lost three more to the Giants.  I've been secretly ready most of the season to dismiss them but it's hard to do when they're in first place.    Well, now teams without playoff hopes like the Giants and San Diego are beating them up.  Mathematically they are by no means out of it, but in baseball momentum is huge and they are sinking like rocks.   But hey, there's always next season.  And hey, the Cardinals won their opener.  And hey again, won't be tempted to spend money on playoff tickets that I cannot afford.
