A quiet week at the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus?
August 31, 2008 by Lyle Plocher comments (1)After months of News Coverage and great anticipation about the opening of the Walter Cronkite School and the South Residential Tower of the ASU Downtown Campus, the Media has gone silent on us. Perhaps the Media was pre-occupied with getting away for Labor Day or the national poliitical happenings?
Students - How was your first week in Downtown Phoenix? What's the Walter Cronkite facility like? How's your new room at Taylor Place? Find any cool restaurants or hangouts? Did you check out the Pool Party at the Hotel San Carlos?
Business Owners - Have any students frequent your establishments this last week?
What's happening? Anyone?

The first week was wonderful. As a resident of Taylor Place, I spent a lot more time in Downtown Phoenix than I thought I would. There is enough to do, but we would love even more. I really hope a coffee shop starts staying open later, both on the weekends and weekdays. Otherwise the Taylor Place staff has been amazing, putting on a lot of programs and giving us great safety information. But I feel safer here than on the Tempe Campus. I hope I get a chance to thank all of the people that made this a reality. What a great idea!
