Sounds like a Novel or a new Movie right? wrong! It's the name of the $2.4 Million controversial sculpture which will hover over the Downtown Phoenix ASU Civic Space.

I am not trying to be funny or sarcastic, or offensive,but everytime I see a picture of the Sky Bloom, all I see is a "used" birth control device. I am not actually printing the word of the device, because, again I don't want to be considered as abusing the comment column, but does anyone else see that?
Why couldn't we get something like Jeff Koons "Puppy"?
I agree. Who convinced whom that this would actually look good? And then said....it only costs $2.4 - all of which seems absurd. Couldn't Tempe use the money to replace the inflatable liners for Tempe Town Lake or is this ASU money? How about investing the money is a "money making resource." Promote solar energy? Promote clean-air electric cars?
It is in Downtown Phoenix not Tempe. This idea is a little to progressive for Tempe. By the way 1.9 million of it went to a construction firm for the structural support. The company is out of Tucson. So most of the money will stay in the state of Arizona.
