I’ve been looking for rentals in and around downtown Phoenix for some time now. I am always amazed how Phoenix holds something for everyone and every budget.  Just today, there are approximately 600 rentals in this area from a $400/month studio to $15,000/month 7 bedroom 6 1/2 bathroom showpiece. While the latter is probably not realistic for most of you, I do know of 3 perfect examples of the 3 basic budget groups. The first being  $600-$800. There is a great small complex called Bristol Manor starting at $675 , where you can rent a 1,200 sq foot, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. If you are in the market for a slightly smaller one bedroom, Bristol Manor also has 800 sq foot 1 bedrooms starting at $575 and every unit has a pool view. This is a great bargain located at 25th St and Indian School, and definitely on the low end of budgets. If you're looking for something a bit more family oriented in the mid range budget, there is a great rental for $900/month in the Coronado historic district with wood floors and a big backyard for Fido to run around in. On the higher end of the budgets there is a very desirable 2 bedroom/Loft Townhome on the corner of 7th St and Washington with the Light rail right out the front door for a steal at $1,500 ( I strongly suspect that price will go up in January once that leg of the Light rail is up and running). These are just a few examples. I actually saw a bunch more that I could imagine myself living in but for now I am content in my 1947 transitional ranch in Fairview with the guest house that my ASU daughter is taking over in August- our home is also a great rental find.  Feel free to email me or give me a call if you’re interested in one of these or other downtown properties that may be just perfect for you.
