Free Phoenix Workshop To Provide Techniques to Prevent Neighborhood Blight
March 29, 2008 by Lyle Plocher commentPhoenix residents will learn what they can do to prevent blight and neighborhood preservation ordinance violations in their areas during a free workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Phoenix City Hall, assembly room A, 200 W Washington St.
During the "Putting the Diamond Back Into Your Neighborhood" workshop, participants will learn proactive techniques to battle blight and crime in their neighborhoods, such as organizing communitywide clean ups, taking advantage of the free Tool Lending Program and how to establish an effective neighborhood association or Block Watch.
The workshop is one of a series of seminars sponsored by the city of Phoenix Neighborhood Services Department that focuses on neighborhood improvement.
