The City of Phoenix will be participating in Earth Hour 2008 when several large cities in the world will turn out their non-essential and non-emergency lights for one hour from 8 to 9 PM on March 29th.  I believe Mayor Gordon will hold a Press Conference tomorrow morning, March 13th to announce the city's participation.  Some local sponsors include the Mayor's Office, Moses Anshell, Arizona Public Service, Salt River Project, Valley Forward, Audubon Society of Arizona, Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, Valley Metro and Arizona State University.
