Art Detour is a self-guided tour of Downtown Phoenix galleries, artist studios and art spaces.  The Art Detour started in 1989 as an artist's open studio tour.  Although First Friday's gives people the opporutnity to see many galleries, this annual event is the only time some of the studios are open to the public on a scale like this.  This year's event is taking place on Saturday, March 8th from 10 AM until 6 PM and Sunday, March 9th from Noon to 6PM.

You can pick up your "free' Art Detour Map so you will know where to go at the Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave.  You can also hop on "free shuttles" taking your to the various stops if you prefer not to drive.
