Experts to offer predictions for local, national economy, real estate

Four economists will provide their outlook for 2008 at the 44th Annual Arizona State University Chase Economic Forecast Luncheon.
The Dec. 5 event at the Phoenix Convention Center will feature Standard & Poor's Chief Economist David A. Wyss, who will provide a national and international outlook; James Glassman, managing director and senior economist for JPMorgan Chase & Co., who will focus on the financial sector; economics professor and senior associate dean Lee McPheters of the W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU, who will concentrate on the metro and regional economy; and Elliott D. Pollack, who will provide his take on real estate and construction.
The event is expected to draw more than 1,500 business leaders. Proceeds from the event will fund ASU/Chase scholarships, class materials for some 12,000 students at the W. P. Carey School, new classroom technology, and teaching and research support for students and faculty.
The event is open to the public. Individual tickets are $75.
Doors will open at 10:45 a.m. with seating beginning at 11 a.m. and the program at 11:15 a.m.
